Programme Notes - 
Neon is inspired by Tsai Ming-Liang (蔡明亮)'s film Rebels of the Neon God (青少年哪吒, 1992). Part of the piece also derives from a melodic fragment from Sakura Nagashi (桜流し), a song by Hikaru Utada (宇多田ヒカル). The original melody is meant not to be detected.
